Now that summer is in full swing, I’ve been having a fabulous time adding to my wardrobe. This year, I have been drawn to pretty floral prints, nude tones and the odd frill, here and there.
However, as my wardrobe has transitioned from Spring to Summer, I have noticed a significant gap and after trawling through blogs, online stores and of course, the Great British High street, my lack of all occasion summer dresses, really stood out. You know the dress I mean, the one that you can throw in a suitcase, for a summer holiday, or team with a spectacular pair of heels, for a wedding.
So to start off my collection I found this little gem in the River Island Sale, for the very affordable price of £17.
This dress is fantastic on a curvy silhouette, with its wrap over style and detailed, frilled hem. The cut-out detailing on the sleeves is also a lovely addition, which helps to keep the dress cool on these unusually hot summer days.
I love the ease of wearing a dress, as you don’t have to build an entire outfit, I adore just being able to throw on a dress with a pair of heels, for a special occasion, or a cute pair of gladiator sandals, for a weekday lunch date.
Now that I have the bug, I of course have a huge wishlist, just bursting full of beautiful summer dresses. If you would like me to do a blog post featuring my ASOS wishlist, comment below, or drop me a message.
