Why I love Glossybox

‘Rebecca, your GLOSSYBOX has shipped.’ is quite possibly the only email, I receive on a Monday morning, that brings me joy!

Beauty box subscriptions have been around for a few years now and I have tried just about all of them, but was never really wowed, until Glossybox.
Being a fashion creative, I am all about the brand experience, I like everything about a brand to be all wrapped up in a nice little package and for me, it doesn’t get much better than Glossybox.
So what is a beauty box subscription and more importantly why do I love this one so much?

BEAUTY BOX – GLOSSYBOX

Firstly, social media, if you know me well, you know I’m all about that social media life!  Glossybox really hit the nail on the head when it comes to interacting with their consumers.  Sometimes its easy to feel so far removed from a brand and its ambassadors, but the girls (and guy) who run the company, are very interactive.  Right now my blog is teeny tiny, my follower count is rather small and sometimes my voice feels lost in a sea of extremely talented people with thousands upon thousands of subscribers, but Glossybox always notice my work and when I have an opinion about their products, its nice to know they listen to me and if they listen to me, it makes sense that they listen to all of their other customers as well.  They work extremely hard to make all of their social media platforms, visually beautiful, exciting and informative.  Their Instagram account, Youtube channel of course their website are all wonderfully put together.  I also have a lot of time for their monthly live unboxing’s on Facebook, where they run some excellent competitions alongside and again are very interactive with their customers.
I was lucky enough to be invited to their head office in London, where I got to put together my very own box and be crowned ‘glossy of the month’! Aside from a huge hangover and not feeling like I looked my best, due to our ridiculous British weather surprising me with a heat wave, when I was dressed for wind and rain, I had a brilliant time and was so very lucky to meet the team.  Their beautiful office was a breath of fresh air and it was exciting to see all of the new things coming up, I definitely caught a sneaky glimpse of exciting new ideas and perhaps something for the festive period, but of course, my lips are sealed!  I cannot possibly reveal any glossy secrets!

Visiting their office gave me more drive and determination to pursue what I love and I’m very thankful to them for the experience.

Moving onto the box itself, I have to say I love almost everything about it, for a while the boxes remained their signature pink colour, but lately, the team have really changed it up, with new colours and designs, which I think is great! (More of that please) The boxes look lovely in my beauty room and are great for storage.

Each month when I open my box I get so excited to discover what’s inside, as a self confessed packaging enthusiast, I love untying the pretty ribbon, peeling off the cute little sticker from the pastel coloured tissue paper and digging into the goodies inside!

So far, I’ve not been let down by the products I’ve received.  Of course, there have been the odd few bits and bobs that weren’t really for me, such as a hair mask, with some sort of odd cooling/slightly tingly properties to it, (side note kids, don’t use this product whilst sitting down in the shower, unless you want the sensation to trickle down to your *eh hum, ‘areas’) and others that have now turned into repeat purchases, which are my ‘cant live without’ products, such as my beautiful spectrum fan brush, which I use everyday and surprisingly a hair bobble, which has been attached to either my wrist or in my hair for approximately two months now!

As someone with a high stress job and a very busy life, receiving my Glossybox each month is a little reminder to take some ‘me time’.  Once a month, I now take an evening to myself, have a lovely relaxing bath and take the time to use my new products.  So if you’re like me and forget about yourself quite often, because you are too busy running around after everyone else, this product could be great for you.
Each month you receive five products, some of them, full sized, some of them smaller sample sizes, the subscription is £10, plus postage and packaging, which is a total bargain, considering what you receive inside is worth significantly more than £10.

So if you’re like me and love trying new products, I would highly suggest Glossybox!

Id love to hear if you subscribe to Glossybox and also what your favourite products have been so far.  Are there any other beauty boxes or similar brands I should try?

Be right back, just off to build a fort with all of my empty Glossyboxes!
